Meeting Valladolid May 11th

     Este día hicimos una excursión a Burgos para visitar el Museo de la Evolución Humana, en donde pudimos aprender sobre el origen del hombre y su evolución hasta lo que hoy somos. También visitamos el CAREX (Centro de Arqueología Experimental), donde los alumnos tuvieron la oportunidad de participar en unos talleres realmente interesantes: aprendieron cómo trabajar la piedra para crear hachas, cómo usar el arco y la flecha, cómo pintar las paredes utilizando un aerógrafo y cómo hacer fuego sin usar cerillas, obviamente. Por la tarde, el tiempo se puso tan frío y lluvioso que no pudimos dar un paseo por el casco histórico de Burgos.

     We made a trip to Burgos in order to vist the Museum of Human Evolution, where we learned about the origin of the human beings and their evolution to what we are today. We also visited the CAREX (Experimental Arqueological Centre) where students could participate in some really interesting workshops: they learned how to work stones to make hand axes, how to use a spear and a bow, how to paint walls using an airbrush and how to make a fire without matches, obviously. In the afternoon, the weather was so cold and rainy that we didn't have the chance to take a stroll around the old town centre.

Meeting Valladolid May 10th

Este día visitamos el Ayuntamiento, y uno de los concejales nos dirigió unas palabras de bienvenida y nos dio un pequeño obsequio. A cambio, nosotros le regalamos una camiseta con el logo del proyecto.  Después, almorzamos en la Plaza mayor y posteriormente hicimos un recorrido por el casco histórico de la ciudad.

We visited the Town Hall and were received by one of the councillors, who dedicated us some warm words of welcome and gave  a little present. In return, we presented him with a project's T-shirt. After that, we had a snack in Plaza Mayor and then we made a tour around the historic centre. 

Meeting Valladolid May 9th

     Este día disfrutamos de una excursión en canoa por el río Duratón en un pueblo que se llama San Miguel de Bernuy. Después de comer nos dirigimos a Segovia, donde visitamos su Acueducto, la Catedral y el Alcázar.

     We enjoyed a canoe trip along River Duratón gorge in a village called San Miguel de Bernuy. After lunch, we headed for Segovia, where we visited the Aqueduct,  the Cathedral and the Alcázar.

Meeting Valladolid May 8th

Students were gathered at the school hall. There were some words of welcome by the headmaster and the project coordinator, which were kindly answered by the coordinators of the visiting schools. Then some presents were given to the students and teachers, as well as the Education Inspector and two representatives of the Teachers' Training Centre who had nicely accepted our invitation to this event.

Later, the work they had done on the different planned activities was presented. And also, we could watch a video which was a short of summary of all the experiences that we have lived and shared during these last two years.
